CHEER PRACTICE
  • 5:30 - 7:00pm
  • Cheer practice moves indoors to the Wisconsin Hills Middle School cafeteria.  Please use the main entrance doors to enter the school.
  • Coach Paige or Coach Jenna will escort the 2nd - 4th grade cheerleaders to the main entrance for parent pick-up at the end of practice.
  • 5th - 8th grade teams are responsible for rolling up the cheer mats after practice.  This will take approximately 10 - 15 minutes extra at the end of practice.  Coaches will supervise the rolling up of mats, and you can expect a phone call if your daughter regularly skips out on helping her team roll up the cheer mats.  Parents are welcome to come in and help!  Many hands make light work!

  • Remember that when you wear the JLC uniform, you are representing 57 other Junior Lancer Cheerleaders and your behavior, attitude, and actions can reflect positively - and negatively - on all of your cheer sisters.  Please behave accordingly when wearing your JLC uniform.

Saturday, September 17th
JR LANCER FOOTBALL
  • All cheerleaders should follow the JLC policy on what to wear to football games.  Review the policy located here: http://www.juniorlancercheer.com/p/uniforms.html   Be sure to bring your poms and a bottle of water!
  • This past Saturday saw the following dress code violations:  nail polish, glittery eye shadow, feather hair extensions, earrings, un-natural hair color, and forgetting poms at home.  Beginning Saturday, September 17th, consequences for violating the dress code will be running 3 laps around the track per violation.  Repeated violations by the same cheerleader during the football season will result in consequences leading up to suspension from a game.  As a reminder, JLC has a no-borrow uniform policy which includes poms.
  • 8th graders are expected to arrive at 8:30am.
  • 7th graders are expected to arrive at 10:00am.
  • 6th graders are expected to arrive at 11:30am.
  • 2nd - 5th graders are expected to arrive at 1:00pm.  2nd - 4th graders will be dismissed after their half-time routine.
  • All teams should meet on the grassy area next to the concession stand inside the BCHS football stadium.
  • If the temperature is 68 degrees or higher according to http://www.intellicast.com/Local/Weather.aspx?location=USWI0094, cheerleaders can wear their uniforms minus the bodyliner.
  • The following cheerleaders are permitted to perform tumbling higher than a round-off at football games:  Dana, Hope, Lexi Sch, Lexi Sh, and Meghan.  Cheerleaders that wish to perform tumbling higher than a round-off at football games must submit the tumbling verification form to Coach Uhrle.  Do not turn this form in to your coach.  You will need to perform your tumbling skills in front of Coach Uhrle for final approval.
  • There is no stunting allowed at football games.
  • Food is not permitted on the track.  Cheerleaders will have approximately 5 minutes to have a quick snack during half-time, and must eat their snack near the concession stand.
  • JLC has partnered with DQ Chill & Grill in the Brownstones shopping plaza. Swing by in your uniform after your game, mention our partnership and receive 20% off your order!

Important Announcements ...
  • Please be sure to familiarize yourself with JLC's cheer constitution.  All families and cheerleaders signed our cheer constitution stating they agree to abide by JLC's policies and procedures, and consequences for violating any JLC policy.  We will begin to strictly enforce all JLC policies and procedures as stated in the JLC cheer constitution effective immediately, and please be aware that there are consequences leading up to suspension and dismissal from the JLC program.
  • Those at Saturday's football game are aware that there were numerous wasps and bees hovering around the bleachers and track.  Upon review of all medical/emergency forms, I have confirmed that there are no cheerleaders with allergies to bee stings.  If this isn't correct, please let me know asap.  Please remind your daughter not to eat food on the track, and to tightly close her water or juice bottle so no wasp/bees get in her drink.
