Important Announcements ...

JLC Team Tumbling at Heat Athletics
Tuesdays, Ongoing

Practice Location & Time Change
December 7th & 11th
  • Due to unavailability of space at WHMS, practice times and locations for December 7th & 14th will be held at Swanson Elementary in the cafeteria.  2nd - 4th and 7th grade will practice from 6 - 7:30pm, 5th & 6th and 8th grade will practice from 7 - 8:30pm.
  • In order for the cheerleaders to practice stunting at Swanson, JLC is in need of one 7th grade family to pick up the two black game-time mats from BCHS and bring them to Swanson, and one 8th grade family to return the game-time mats back to BCHS.  If we don't get any volunteers, these teams will not practice stunting at Swanson.
  • I personally own 3 game-time mats, and will bring them to Swanson for the 2nd - 4th and 5th & 6th grade teams to practice on, negating the need for a 2nd - 6th grade family from having to help move the mats.

Community Service Event - Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign
December 17th
  • I'm very proud of the following cheerleaders for giving a gift of their time this weekend by ringing bells for the Salvation Army's Red Kettle Campaign ... Agathe, Ana, Carly, Kenzie, Lexi, Lexi, Meghan and Yasi.

  • The girls did a great job, singing Christmas carols and making up holiday cheers, and even had a surprise visit by Santa!
  • We will have one additional opportunity for cheerleaders to participate in the Red Kettle Campaign on Saturday, December 17th from noon - 3pm.  2nd - 6th grade will ring bells from Noon - 1pm; 7th grade will ring bells from 1 - 2pm; and 8th grade will ring bells from 2 - 3pm.  Please email me if you'd like to sign up and make a difference in our community this holiday season!

JLC Holiday Party
December 21st
  • We will spend the last 30 minutes of practice having a small holiday party on December 21st!
  • Each family is asked to bring 1 dozen cookies that will be arranged into cookie platters for each WHMS custodian.
  • We will also have a potluck with snacks and yummy treats - stay tuned for sign-ups by team.
  • There will be a Secret Santa gift exchange for all cheerleaders that wish to participate. More details will be sent home with the cheerleaders at practice tomorrow.
  • Moms and Dads that would like to help at the party are greatly appreciated! Please email me if you're willing to help - we'll need help with set-up, serving food, and clean-up.
