KMLHS GRADE SCHOOL CHEER COMPETITION
  • Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School (same location as Bring on the Heat competition)
  • 7th and 8th Grade Arrival Time:  9am
  • 2nd - 4th and 5th - 6th Grade Arrival Time:  12pm
  • Admission is $3 for adults, $1 for students, and children 5 and under are free.
  • Please be sure to comply 100% with the JLC dress code for competitions (review details here - scroll down to JLC dress code for competitions).  It is very disrespectful to the organization and team that the same girls are arriving at competition in violation of the dress code, and/or not following the rules for staying in full dress code if they remain at the competition for the awards ceremony.  This competition will have staff checking for apparel violations during warm-up and deductions will be assessed to the team - before they even step on the mats to compete!  100% compliance with the JLC dress code is expected and mandatory.
  • JLC will be assigned a classroom to store our personal belongings, and coaches will review KMLHS classroom guidelines with their teams at practice this week.  Any fine assessed to JLC by KMLHS for violation of the classroom guidelines by a JLC cheerleader will result in that cheerleader/s being banned from JLC for one full season.
  • This is our LAST competition of the cheer season!  The girls have worked so hard to reach this point, and it will be very exciting to watch them knock the judges socks off!

Important Announcements ...

JLC TEAM PHOTO SHOOT w/ EMPIRE PHOTOGRAPHY
  • Monday, February 13th - normal practice times for all teams.
  • All girls are requested to be in attendance in full dress uniform.
  • Teams and individuals will take photos against a professional backdrop with their team trophies earned this season.
  • Families will receive an email from Empire Photography with photo package ordering info within a week of the photo shoot.

JLC PERFORMANCE w/ MILWAUKEE BUCKS ENERGEE! SPIRIT SQUAD
  • Please see and return the attached ticket order form with payment to JLC no later than Monday, February 27th.  I cannot accept any late ticket orders.
  • This is a fun opportunity for JLC!  Cheerleaders will arrive at the Bradley Center ~2 hours prior to game time to watch the Energee! Dancers warm-up, have a meet & greet with Energee! (including photo opportunities), then work with Energee! center court.  The girls will then perform with Energee! during the player introductions center court prior to the game.
  • All participants must purchase a ticket, and must arrive in full JLC dress code from head to toe.  The Milwaukee Bucks will NOT allow any cheerleader not in full uniform to enter the arena for the meet and greet.
  • Coaches and/or Team Managers will accompany the cheerleaders for the meet and greet, and player introductions.  Parents will enter the arena when it opens to general admission, but they will be permitted to come down behind the courtside seats to take photos of their daughters during the player announcements.  Coaches/Team Managers will be sure to get photos of all individual cheerleaders with her Energee! Dancer.  Supervision of the cheerleaders will be turned back to their parents after their pre-game performance.

2012 - 2013 CHEER SEASON FUNDRAISING
  • JLC will once again participate in the extremely profitable Boston Store Community Day event this spring!
  • Participation is optional, and not mandatory.  Funds raised by your daughter will be allocated directly to her 2012-2013 registration & programming fees.  This is a great opportunity to pre-pay your cheer fees before the season even begins! If you participate in the fundraiser, but then decide not to register for JLC, funds raised by an individual will remain property of JLC and will not be disbursed.
  • JLC is approved for in-store sale shifts from noon - 2pm on the following dates:  February 25 and 26; March 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, 25 and 31; and April 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21 and 22.
  • Shifts are limited to 4 cheerleaders each, and each cheerleader will earn $1 per each book sold.
  • Shifts are filled on a first come, first served basis.  Email me to get on the schedule!

  • All FINAL details regarding try-outs, creation of the Blue & White middle school teams, attendance requirements, etc will be shared at PIN, and will be posted on the JLC website on May 4th, 2012.  In the meantime, please continue to send your questions, concerns, and suggestions to me.  I may not be able to give you a definitive answer to your question as I'm still in the planning stages for next season, but I will do my best!
  • The 2012 - 2013 season will start in June.  I understand that many families have summer plans - by all means, please take your family vacations as planned!  The main reason for starting the season earlier is to give the girls extra time to get in shape, learn sideline cheers, and perfect their cheer motions.  It is also an opportunity for middle school girls to perfect their skills to prepare for try-outs.
