Important announcements ...

Spiritwear Online Store Opens Wednesday!
August 8th to August 29th

This is our ONE AND ONLY JLC spiritwear sale for the entire season.  We cannot accept any late orders whatsoever.

On Wednesday morning, to view our spiritwear items and to place an order ...
  1. Go to
  2. Hover your mouse over "Team Spiritwear/Uniforms" located in the left menu bar under the heading "Browse by Category".  A pop-up window will appear listing all the different spiritwear sales currently ongoing at Burghardt's.
  3. Click "BCHS Jr Lancer Cheer" to view JLC's spiritwear catalog.
  • All orders must be ordered online and paid via debit/credit card at the time of the order.  All orders will be distributed at practice - estimated delivery at practice is September 19th.
  • Please note: there is a 12-item minimum order each for the football jersey and the "Dream" shirt, and a 6-item minimum order for the "JLC Spirit Squad" shirt that needs to be met in order to avoid a $20 set-up fee per design.  If you order one of these items and the minimum order does not get met, JLC will be charged for the set-up fees so the order can be sent to production without being delayed.  The set-up fee will then be split equally among all those who ordered that design, and your portion will need to be reimbursed to JLC before your order can be picked up.  Please don't let the possibility of the set-up fee deter you from ordering these items - we have always met our minimum orders in the past, but I would be remiss in my duties if I did not make everyone aware of the minimum order and set-up fee.
  • Finally, please note that all sales are final.  There are no refunds or exchanges by either Burghardt's or JLC for any spiritwear items that you purchase.  Please be sure to order the correct sizes (especially youth vs adult) and make sure any personalization is entered correctly.

Fall Team Tumbling at Heat Athletics
  • Our current summer session team tumbling classes end on August 17th.  The fall session will begin immediately, and our team tumbling class will move to TUESDAYS at 5:30pm effective August 21st.
  • We will offer just one combined level team tumbling class in the fall, and it will be limited to the first 15 athletes that submit their signed registration form and payment.
  • If you're interested in signing up for our team tumbling class, please let Coach Uhrle know - she will forward the registration form to you as soon as it is received from Heat.  Junior Lancer Cheerleaders will receive priority registration through August 16th.  At that point, any open spots can be requested for non-JLC cheerleaders with written approval from Coach Uhrle only.

Volunteers Needed

JLC is a 100% volunteer-run organization.  We wouldn't be successful if it weren't for our many volunteer coaches, Jr Coaches, team managers and parents like you!  We are in need for volunteers for the following two committees:
  • Competition Photographers & Videographers:  We are in need of several parents to take action photos and videos of our performances at competitions.  The photos and videos will not only give each family lasting memories of their team's performance and be used in our end of the season slideshow, but will also be reviewed by the coaches and team along with the judges' scoresheets after competition, so we can constantly improve and better our performances and skills.
  • JLC Cheer Clinic:  We are in need of several parents to join our Cheer Clinic committee.  We will host our first ever "for-profit" cheer clinic for Kindergarten to 5th grade girls the week of January 28th, 2013.   Clinic participants will learn a cheer and dance, and perform it as an exhibition team at the Brookfield Blast on February 2nd.  Adult volunteers will be needed to coordinate the craft, food & beverages, registration check-in, and t-shirt distribution.  Athlete volunteers of middle school age will be needed as "Mini Coaches" for the clinic.  Athlete volunteers will be required to attend 2 - 3 additional practices in January in preparation of the cheer clinic.  Funds raised at the clinic will help to pay for gym and mat storage space for the 2013 - 2014 cheer season.
  • Contact Coach Uhrle if you'd like to volunteer!
