New Berlin Eisenhower Cheer Showcase Recap

  • What an absolutely amazing day for Junior Lancer Cheer!  The girls performed not one, but two phenomenal performances yesterday.  Their support and enthusiasm at the AAFYL Championship Game was second to none, and they shined like the stars they are at the Ike Cheer Showcase.
  • Sapphire earned a total of 58 out of 100 points to take home 2nd place out of 3 teams in the D Squad/5th Grade Division.
  • Titanium earned a total of 74 out of 100 points to take home 1st place out of 4 teams in the A Squad/8th Grade Division.
  • Titanium also earned JLC's 2nd ever Grand Champion title by earning the most points out of 8 teams in the A (8th grade) and B (7th Grade) teams!
  • Titanium team member Meghan took home 1st place out of 16 cheerleaders in the A & B Squad Jump Competition!
  • Teams will hear their judges comments at practice tomorrow, and we will immediately make the recommended corrections and set our sights on our 2nd competition of the season - the Menomonee Falls Indian Invite on November 23rd.

Team Tumbling

  • The 2nd Fall/Winter session begins this week Friday.  The cost is $50 for 5 classes.
  • As I look forward into JLC's future, an area of concern for me is the lack of intermediate tumbling for current 6th grade and below cheerleaders.  Tumbling is the only area of cheerleading that is not taught within normal JLC team practices.
  • While tumbling isn't a requirement to be part of JLC, for the continued overall success of our program, cheerleaders that wish to continue cheerleading should start working or continue to work to improve their tumbling skills.
  • While we have a good depth of tumbling skills for current 7th & 8th graders, if these cheerleaders wish to continue cheering into high school, they really need to focus on tumbling, if they haven't already started to do so.  Tumbling is a current requirement for the Varsity team, and can make the difference of cheering for a high school sport only or cheering for a sport and being on the JV competitive team.
  • As a parent who has experienced ALL tumbling facilities in a 30 minute radius of Brookfield, Elite Tumbling has become THE premiere tumbling facility for cheerleaders.  What's even better is the fact that they are a mobile operation that comes to US.
  • If you have any questions, I encourage you to contact me or schedule an appointment to speak with our Elite Tumbling coaches on Friday.

JLC Master Calendar
  • Please be sure your family calendar is synced with JLC's master calendar.  The master calendar should be your main point of reference for all JLC practices and events.  The paper calendar hand-outs are a reference point, but there may be changes to the master calendar that are made after the paper calendars are distributed.
  • There are extra practices coming up that are scheduled outside of our normal practice schedule that I want to ensure is on everyone's calendar. Please ensure all competitions are on your family calendar as well.
  • Our master calendar can be found here:
