Coming Up This Week  

Tuesday, March 18th
  • Titanium (WHMS students only) - March Madness Practice
    • Tonawanda Elementary Gym, 6 - 7:30pm
    • Normal practice wear and cheer shoes

Wednesday, March 19th
  • Titanium (WHMS students only) - March Madness Practice
    • Tonawanda Elementary Gym, 7-8pm
    • Normal practice wear and cheer shoes

Thursday, March 20th
  • Free Cheer Tumbling Clinic 
    • Wisconsin Hills Middle School Cafeteria, 6:30 - 7:30pm
    • Athletic wear - shirts, shorts, closed toe shoes
    • Our cheer tumbling clinic is FULL!  We are no longer accepting pre-registrations for this event!
  • Spring Team Tumbling, Session 1, Class 1 of 4
    • ALL LEVELS - 7:15 - 8:45pm.  
    • All athletes to arrive at 7:15pm to start warming up and stretching, so we have a full hour of tumbling.  
    • All athletes to stay after class to assist with putting the mats away (rolling them up AND moving them into the gym).  If you leave without helping, you will be assessed a $10 mat fee.

Friday, March 21st
  • WHMS March Madness
    • 1 - 2:30pm, Wisconsin Hills Middle School
    • Participating cheerleaders to wear their full uniform to school - shell, skirt, body liner, briefs, no-show white socks, and cheer shoes.  Hair can be down and pretty during the school day, then we'll put it up before the game.
    • Athletes will be excused at 12:15 and are expected to report immediately to the gym to start warming up.

Important Announcements 

    Team Photos - Empire Photography
    • All families should have received an email from Empire Photography with a link to their athlete's proofs from Media Day.  If you haven't received one yet, please let me know.
    • In addition, all families should have received a second email from Empire Photography with information regarding your team panoramic order.  
      • Empire Photography has been informed that Coach Uhrle will be the program rep and collect panoramic team order photos.  
        • Once the sample has been received, they will be brought to a Thursday team tumbling class for families to view and order.
        • An email will be sent as soon as the samples have been received, confirming the date the samples will be available for viewing.

    Save the Date - Pure Performance, Life of a Student Athlete
    • BCHS Athletics is hosting a free seminar, "Pure Performance - Life of a Student Athlete" on Thursday, March 27th at 6:30pm
    • All incoming BC athlete families are invited to attend this event - please see this link for more information.

    Save the Date - WHMS Run for the Hills
    • JLC has once again been invited to cheer on the runners at the 4th Annual WHMS Run for the Hills on Saturday, April 27th at Mitchell Park.
    • This is an optional event - the time commitment is 11am until 2pm.
    • Cheerleaders will cheer on the runners at the starting line, and at the various locations of the running route.
    • If you are interested, please email Coach Uhrle no later than April 20th.

    2014-15 Parent Informational Meeting
    • Thursday, May 8th at 7pm at Wisconsin Hills Middle School.
    • Interested athletes and parents will have an opportunity to meet our coaching staff and to discover all that our program offers to the youth of Elmbrook School District.
    • New this season - uniform rentals are included in our tuition fees for all athletes!  We also have a brand new uniform for the 14-15 cheer season!
    • Uniforms will be fitted at this meeting - please bring your cheerleader with you!

    2014-15 Try-Outs
    • Try-outs for incoming 6th grade and older athletes will be held the week of May 19th.
    • We will host a 3 day try-out clinic from 6 - 7:30pm on May 19th, 20th, and 21st.  Interested athletes must attend at least one clinic, but attending all three clinics are highly encouraged.  You will learn a specific cheer and dance to perform during try-outs, as well as receive instruction on motions, jumps and stunting.
    • Try-outs will be held on May 22nd.   Try-outs are closed, and athletes will try out in small groups of 4 - 5 athletes.  
    • Results will be posted on the JLC website on Friday, May 23rd at 6pm.  Final scores are not shared, however judges comments are available upon request.

    Save the Date - UCA Day Camp @ Badger High School
    • All 2014-15 registered cheerleaders 5th grade and older are invited to attend a UCA Cheer Camp at Badger High School in Lake Geneva on Saturday, June 7th.
    • Camp and bus fees will be included in your JLC 2014-15 registration fee.  
    • Cheerleaders will get a head start on their season and learn their football halftime cheer and dance at camp!  We hope you can make it!

      Summer Cheer Schedule - Family Vacations, etc.
      • If you're starting to look ahead to your summer family vacation schedule, a good time to book your family vacation without worry of missing summer camp, choreography, etc is July 20 - August 10th.
