Important Announcements

  • Media Day (aka Photo Day) for all football spirit squads will take place on Tuesday, September 2nd at Tonawanda Elementary (13605 Underwood River Parkway, Elm Grove, WI 53122).
  • Arrival times by team:
    • D - 5:30pm
    • C - 5:40pm
    • B - 5:50pm
    • A - 6:00pm
  • All athletes must be in full uniform - shell, skirt, black bodyliner, black briefs, no-show white socks, all white cheer shoes.
  • If a sports bra or other undergarment is worn under the body liner, it must be black in color.
  • For Media Day, if your cheerleader has bangs, it does not need to be pulled and secured away from the face (like it normally would for a football game or competition).  Bangs can be worn down as long as they are not covering the eyes.  Long side bangs should be tucked behind an ear - we want to see your gorgeous face!
  • For Media Day, we will permit conservative stud earrings only.  No dangling or hoop earrings will be permitted.  Remove any necklaces or bracelets.  Be sure any henna or temporary tattoo is completely removed.
  • Nail polish will be permitted as long as it is a fresh manicure.  No chipped nail polish please!
  • Pay very close attention to the make-up policy:
    • K - 5th grade: No make up.
    • 6th - 8th grade: OPTIONAL - LIGHT mascara, LIGHT blush, NEUTRAL lip gloss.  NO LIPSTICK, EYELINER, or EYE SHADOW.  You will be asked to wash your face if you arrive with lipstick, eyeliner or eye shadow.
  • Siblings will have an opportunity to take sibling photos!

  • JLC will provide a pair of blue & white poms for use at football games.  The girls will receive them at the start of their game, and return them at the end of their game.
  • If your daughter would like to purchase her very own pair of poms, please submit a check payable to JLC in the amount of $22 no later than August 26th!  The price includes sales tax and shipping.
  • Purchasing your own pair or poms is not required.

  • The AAYFL has not yet released their 2014 football schedule.  However, I am taking a gamble that the schedule will remain the same as it has for the past 5 seasons.
    • A Squad will arrive at 8:30am for a 9am game start.
    • B Squad will arrive at 10 am for a 10:30am game start.
    • C Squad will arrive at 11:30 for a Noon game start.
    • D Squad will arrive at 1pm for a 1:30pm game start.
  • All cheerleaders should arrive ready to go, fully dressed from head to toe.
  • Please pay particular attention to our tardy policy for games.  Any cheerleader that arrives late - regardless of reason - will run extra laps and/or sit out of a quarter!
  • We have also let A & B squads know that they are expected to confidently perform all cheers posted on our YouTube channel.  If they fail to perform a cheer at the football game, they will run a lap around the stadium during the game.

  • Jr Lancer Recognition Night has been tentatively scheduled for Friday, September 12th.  Exact arrival times will be shared once the date has been confirmed.
  • Titanium & Sapphire team members are required to cheer at this event.  Football Spirit Squad team members are highly encouraged to cheer at the game!
