Coming Up This Week ...


Tuesday, June 30th

  • Competitive Team Practice
    • 5:30 - 6:30pm at Wirth Park
    • Known absences: None
  • Football Spirit Squad Practice
    • 6:00 - 7:30pm at Wirth Park
    • Known absences: Angelina, Cristina, Shaelyn, Sofia
  • Burghardts Mandatory/Spiritwear Order Distribution
    • Our tie dye shirts, poms, body liners, briefs, and backpacks are in and will be distributed at practices this week.  Please stop and see Mrs. Taipala (C Squad Co-Manager) during practice to pick up your order.
  • Football Cheer Bow Distribution
    • Our football cheer bows are in and will be distributed at practices this week.  Please stop and see Mrs. Taipala (C Squad Co-Manager) during practice to pick up your order.
    • Each cheerleader receives one football cheer bow included in their registration fees.  Additional bows are available for purchase.  See Coach for details.


Thursday, July 2nd

Friday, July 3rd
  • No Cheer Tumbling at Midwest Twisters Today!

    Saturday, July 4th

    • City of Brookfield Independence Day Parade
      • Known absences:  Avril, Olivia G.
      • What to wear:  pink or turquoise tie dye t-shirt, black shorts, closed toe athletic shoes.  Please have your hair up in a high ponytail with your new football cheer bow.  Ok to wear earrings.  Bring your poms!
      • Arrival is at 9:15am in the back parking lot of Brookfield Central High School, near the tennis courts.  We are entry number 46, and our aisle will be marked with Purple colored flags.  
      • Parking for participants is available at the Library, City Hall, Safety Building and overflow parking lots.  You will need to park your car, and walk your cheerleader to our area.
      • Please be sure all cheerleaders use the bathroom before reporting to the parade!  
      • The parade will begin at Brookfield Central High School, travel west on Gebhardt Road to Calhoun Road, then north on Calhoun Road to North Avenue, then west on North Avenue to Norhardt, then south on Northardt.  
      • We will end at the Post Office on Civic Drive.  This is where parents should meet us to collect your cheerleader.  We will have popsicles and water for all cheerleaders at the Post Office.
      • Traffic on Calhoun Road will close at 9:30am.
      • The parade is an optional event for all football cheerleaders - I'd love to see ALL of you there!
      • The parade is mandatory for all competitive cheerleaders!
      • Parents that want to walk with us are welcome to do so!  We will have you walk at the end of our formation - feel free to wear your Lancer gear or best 4th of July wear, and cheer along with us!

    • Lancer Nation Media Day / Drive 4 UR School Event
      • Saturday, August 15th at the Brookfield Central Football Stadium.
    • BCABC Annual Golf Outing
      • The Brookfield Central Athletic Booster Club will be holding their annual Golf Outing on August 16th at Ironwood Golf Course.
      • If you love to golf, sign up for a foursome and enjoy a great day of golf, followed by a cocktail reception, a silent auction, live entertainment, and dinner!
      • Don't like to golf - you can join us for the silent auction, live entertainment and dinner!
      • Coach is heading up volunteers for the event - if you're interested in a great day of fun on the course, please let me know.  We have a variety of volunteers spots available and I'd love your help!
